Bronchitis is a condition where the bronchi get inflamed and fill with mucus. Symptoms of bronchitis include chest congestion, coughing, shortness of breath, and wheezing. Acute bronchitis will go away without treatment in many cases. If your cough lasts more than three weeks, prevents you from sleeping, is accompanied by fever, produces discolored mucus or blood, or is associated with wheezing or shortness of breath.

Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and swell and may produce extra mucus. This can make breathing difficult and trigger coughing, a whistling sound (wheezing) when you breathe out and shortness of breath. For some people, asthma is a minor nuisance. For others, it can be a major problem that interferes with daily activities and may lead to a life-threatening asthma attack. Asthma can't be cured, but its symptoms can be controlled. 

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive lung disease characterized by chronic respiratory symptoms and airflow limitation. It includes conditions such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis, which cause breathing difficulties due to irreversible airway damage. Common symptoms include persistent cough, shortness of breath, and wheezing.
